B Beck Guest Nov 28, 2005 #2 Ampex/Quantegy 457 But lots of people use 456 with no problems. A couple other tapes to consider that are in my opinion excellent choices for this format -- A-8, M80, R8: BASF/EMTEC SM 468 3M 808 (hard to find)
