traction? cubase SE? cakewalk home studio? power tracks from PG music? do any of them have built in drum grids? what do you guys recommend? hwhich is the easiest interface to learn? thanks
give this program a try. jazzware ( freeware from www.jazzware.com )
it has grids for drums ( like graph paper, with drum names on the left )
it uses a similar window for notes, with a piano on the left side.
The website has links to user documentation and some How To's
I find it easy to use, and been using it for 4 years.
It will work with a Pentium I and 32 meg RAM.
It can handle GM, GS, XG and "synth" / external devices.
I use it mainly for drums, bass, strings with GS Midi on SB PCI-128 and Roland D-70.
Use Midi Mapper program to map midi channels to both soundcard or synth simulatneously. Really.
