Well, here is the deal, I have reciently purchased a few things for recording my band, but what I want to do, is if possible record live everyone at the same time. I have:

Roland 8 channel mixer
ART tube mp
2 SM 57s
1 SM 58
2 Akai Crap Mics
MidiMan 2240 (its a digital 4 track card)
Red Box Pro

now what i have to record is, Drums, 2 Guitars, on Bass Guitar and dual vocals. what id like to get if i cant have it all would be the vocals and drums and sacrafice the 3 guitar tracks for later, so at least i can keep the live feel of the vocals and drums but at the same time id like to keep the bleeding out of the rest of the mix. any hints or any tricks you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's a little hard with the mic's you've
got. Perhaps you can rent 2 good mics for overhead on the drums. If not I think I would try this,

1 SM57 on kick drum
2 Akai's as overheads
OR...1 SM57-kick drum
1 Akai - snare
1 Akai - overhead about 2 inchs above the cymbals pointing
down on drums

vocals - sm58+57
guitar and bass - direct into mixer

Try to put up a baffle between drum and vocal mics.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by digital 4track card. Do you mean 2 analog
2 digital inputs ?.
Is your mixer an analog or a digital one ?
