Hi Guys,

I currently have the Boss BR-1200CD and was wondering what would be the best software program to use to create drum patterns and loops so I can upload to the BR-1200?

I find it a little awkward creating customer patterns on the BR-1200 and was hoping this would be a little easier on the PC.

Can you guys recommend any other pieces of Software that I would find useful....I am just a home recorder having some fun but looking for the best sound.

Thanks,

Hey, lately I myself have been looking into this... I used FL studio for about a year and was okay with it up until the point where i began wanting more complex time signatures and better samples so upgraded to reason as everyone was raving on about it in terms of available samples. It is better but is taking me time to get used to the complex interface. FL studio interface is simple so if ur just having a bit of fun like u say i would suggest FL studio 5.

Try reason 2 or 3, Its got more than just a drum machine but its easy to use and the possabilitys are endless. It may take a while to get to grips with but when you do you see how simple it really is to use. There's plenty of tutorials that come with it so The learning curve is not too steep. Fruity loops sucks compared to this, no serious programmer should use fruity loops as it's far too linear, It's like Ejay and all that I'ts mainly limited to presets. You might aswell use a playstation 2 music maker game.
