best price for sonar 3, Canadian...

hey all.
well i've decided to buy sonar 3. The best price i have found is 765.05 including taxes and shipping here in canada. Is this a decent price? are prices on software flexible or are they generally a sertain price everywhere. I was checking out ebay but i am a bit sketched out about buying software off of the net.
 
Someone had posted here awhile back about academic prices for software. I believe this was the site:

I see Sonar Studio here for $199 (US) and Producer for $369 (US).

I have never bought from these guys, so caveat emptor. Also, you need to be a student or teacher (or know one) to purchase from them.

unfortunately, you have to be an AMERICAN student to buy it that price. Talk about a oxymoron, americans and education?? haha just kidding everybody. I wish they had student pricing up here in the North but looks like i'll be taking the full hit in the wallet this summer.
