Best Portable Guitar to Laptop Interface

I'm looking for for the most lightweight, portable interface to go from my electric guitar to my Macbook Air (with a Windows 7 partition as well) for recording on the go. I've seen a few of them online but with some poor reviews. Can anyone here recommend anything along these lines?

What is your budget? Don't go cheap, if you want quality.

I assume you are looking to go direct in. More important will be the Amp sims you use within your software. Or use a guitar based interface. This could be a long thread.......
