best plugins for eq and compression?

hello everyone! hope you're all having a great day! well i'm looking for the best plugins for cpu recording regarding compression and eq. what's your opinions? thanks a lot, have a great day

the stuff from WAVES is popular and gets great reviews. depends on what you are doing exactly...most sequencers come with compressors and eq.

Waves Rennaissance collection, and Bomb Factory Fairchild 660....

Some Bomb Factory stuff...
Best EQ is considered the Sony Oxford Eq plugin, followed by McDSP's filter bank....
Universal Audio's DSP effects are supposedly great, in particular the compressors.....

The ones I've used that I like alot are the Waves stuff and the VintageWarmer by PSP. (and McDSP, of course, but cant use it on my system, yet)
