Im in Australia and im shopping for a Sound Projects B1 and a M-Audio Audiophile 2496. Does anyone of the cheapest places to get them? I think importing might work out better but i dont know a whole lot of sites.

If anyone knows where to get some good deals i'd appreciate it!

that site was American, i doubt it would cost much less by the time you receive it than what you'd pay in Aus.....one of the best Aussie online stores ( and they have both items you're after) is
http://www.musiclab.net.au

good luck

Brett,

That price equates to approx., $132 Aust. If you get stuff shipped through Global Express Mail from the US you can add about $60 Aust., and have it here in approx 1 week. Check the sums yourself before committing.

Roker,

This is almost de javu, dragging up the pricing issues again. Our illustrious Aust., distributor still hasn't bothered to answer a couple of simple questions put to him in that other thread. Personally, I have just about given up on him:rolleyes: .

:)

yeah Ausrock, true
I even forgot what he asaid how much they can be had for (SP mics), but I just scored my self an SP C1 today for $500!!
I think it's a decent price...can't wait to pick it up...
Bought it from Allan's in Melbourne

cheers

Relative to past and current pricing that is an excellent price.

try ebay

Brett, I bought my Mxl 603's via the ebay store that belongs to www.abemusic.com (although they don't sell SP or M-audio). I paid less than the going rate online at the time, (only by a few dollars) but don't discount it as an option. The only caveat is I think being down under you need to buy from someone with a decent feedback profile and heaps of sales like an ebay store... Less chance of getting ripped off, cause from this distance there is bugger all you can do about it!!!

I was very happy with abemusic.

Good luck,
Steve

I thought Alan and that dude where working together to get the cost down for you folks down there-- what happen?

DJL,

Apart from what was said in that other thread, there has been nothing but silence.

Our local guy seems to have disappeared.

I would presume he gets an email whenever there is a new post in that thread he surfaced in, so if that's the case, he should have seen the last few posts and the question(s) within, which were mainly prompted by one of his comments.

I know Alan has had more than his hands full with other business matters, so I figure it's only fair to cut him some slack, although I do hope he is finding time to seriously address that issue.

Ok, just went to my local Music store..never heard of the products i was after but found them in his catalogue. He looked up some prices and said ok, the Audiophile will be $549 and i will have to check up on the SP B1. I sent an email to a guy at Turramusic and just got a reply. HE can do the Audiophile for $400 and the SP B1 for $220. That sounds pretty good to me? What do you guys think. SHipping on top of that of course. Tons better than what my local guys would do!

Thats why i asked for some informed answers coz its too easy to get ripped off down here!

I think those prices are about right Brett...get'em to do it for that much with shipping included, then I reckon you'll have an OK deal
good luck
