Best mixing board for the money???

OK, so if you had say $300 to $500 to spend on a mixing
board... which one would you recommend as being the
best one to get for the money in this price range?
 
Need more info, number of channels required, recording board or live PA, what are you doing with it, do you need a interface to computer, new or secondhand? Just a few questions to get this started.

Well, I had already purchased the Behringer XENYX X2222USB but someone told me they don't have good compression and isn't that good of quality.

I'm a vocalist that will primarily be using accompaniment tracks, so I don't need that many channels... but, I would like for the sound quality to be decent.

Live work or recording?

If you're recording, you really don't need a mixer. Just a good interface and mic. :thumbs up:
 
I used to like my mackie onyx a lot, the 1220 mixer, find a used one on ebay, they can go for cheap
