What's the best cleaner/polish for metal guitar parts? Specifically chrome plating and nickel tuner parts.

I use Fender or Gibson polish..works well on all of my axes.

Has anyone tried the Maguire's kit? I am interested in the haze remover, my lp has a bit of haze in the finish.

That's for wood finishes, no? I'm looking for opinions on polishes for the metal parts(I just changed thread title as to be less confusing). Thanks.

The best by far of the one's I've tried is Maas metal polish.
This might be another clone of Simichrome, the German polish that's now out of patent.

Simichrome (or a true clone of it) is by far the best metal polish I've ever used for either alloy or plating, and I think I've tried them all over the years. The critical element is a type of diatomaceous earth that is only found in Germany.

Nevr Dull

The Navy uses it to polish their fighter jets.

After polishing, a coat of any quality car wax can be put over the body and metal parts. That'll really help protect it and bring out the shine.

I've started doing that to my guitars and they are easier to keep dusted (just use a Swifter) and don't collect finger prints as fast.
