I've been looking at Izotope's Ozone for a while now and I downloaded the demo (Which is very annoying with the sound dropout every 20 seconds). Are there any other good mastering programs in this price range? I just want to see what else is out there before I buy. Thank you.

Well, there's T-RackS.

Not too many fans of that program around here, but it does what it does well enough for me.

If you are using a DAW with half decent plugins you can do most of the same things with a bit of practice. I basically use T-RackS to make my working mixs sound smooth, then I go back and figure out how to do it in the mix. These days I find myself using it only for its fattening sound (how does it do that?) and leveling out at -0.3 dB, with light compression on the peaks. Figure if I have to use the EQ or limiter I should going back to the mix anyway. Why not? Its just one click away and I'm not paying myself studio time to remix. :D

I guess that's the limit of my expectations of mastering software in my price and skill range.

T-tracks seems to be for Pro Tools. I use Sonar. I shouldve specified directx programs. Thanks for the info though.

Oops! There is also a stand-alone version, which is what I use. Doesn't work within the multitracking program so its a little bit more like the mastering process. Taking your final mix and running it through something different and (hopefully) better.

How cool that they made a TDM version.
