best latency - RME or Firestation?

Hi

Just wondering what set-up has lower latency:

RME Hamerfall 96/8 card or Presonus Firestation.

Also, is there anything like the Firetstation that has a nice mic pre, midi I/'O, low latency, 24bit/48k audio and great convertors to connect to a PC, but with less audio channel I/O (I only need stereo in/out). I am trying to cut the cost a bit!

If I had a choice I would go with the RME and a QuadPre. Being that it's PCI/cardbus, it probably has lower latency.

And from what I've read around here and elsewhere, I don't know that I'd want to deal with the headache of the FIREStation.
