Hi guy's

I'm looking for an electronic drum
I don't want to put more than 1000$ in it
I'm between roland and yamaha
anyone have anything to said about them?

thanks

carl

I went with a Roland TD-5 a couple of years ago because it was cheap on Ebay... A buddy went with one of the comparable Yammies.. He liked mine better. I have since upgraded to the TD-8 with the Hart Dynamic Pro 6.3 series drums and recently upgraded again to TD-10...
A bit more than your budget, but from my experience, go with Roland stuff for the sounds... Triggers can be swapped at your leisure...

Hope this helps!

Td-3

The plain jane TD-3 kit is around $800 I think. The cymbals are fantastic, but the toms are crap (but I think all e-drum "acoustic" toms are crap). It's a nice price, though, and I think the module sounds a bit better than the TD-6, even though it has fewer sounds. I haven't liked any of the low end Yamahas...
