what wld b the best book for a noob starting from ground zero with no knowledge what so ever of recording/mixing to buy n read? i was jus gna get the "for dummies guide" but i thght id get some suggestions first.

thanks!

The "For Dummies" guide wasn't that great for me when I was first starting out.

My personal opinion for a best book for beginners would be "Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio." Great book.

If you do a forum search this has been answered many times, and the answers now will be the same.

My suggestion has always been Mixing with the mind.

Alan.

I've got the For Dummies book (a nice summary) and "Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio" (nice book but gets really in-depth at points).

I'm personally a fan of the Guerilla Home Recording book. Here's an Amazon link
