im thinking bout the presonus firebox, mackie onyx satellite, tascam
us-122L. What you think of these products, also could you tell me if you think thers anything more suitble in the price range? I have 200 pounds budget

Man, 200 pounds. I think that would be hard on your back. :D :D :D

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

I'd steer you towards a Tascam. It's the only one I haven't heard anyone railing against. :D

Edit: never mind. It's USB. Plenty of people rail against it. It's their FireWire offerings that are good. In the FireBox price range, devices mostly range from bad to worse, IMHO. The critical electronics (the FireWire audio controller chips, PHYs, power circuitry, etc.) usually cost about the same whether you're doing one channel or eight, so to keep the prices down for smaller interfaces, they have to cut corners somewhere. Unfortunately, it is usually the analog electronics.

FireBox is low gain, Tascam is USB crap, and the Mackie... well, I don't know about that particular one, but a lot of them are kind of picky about what computers support them well, IIRC..

that`s kinda what ive heard about them.Anyone got any ideas on the Focusite saffire LE, Echo firewire4 and the Edirol FA66?

I've heard generally positive vibes on those three companies. The FA-66 would be my pick.
