Here is the last song in the Ralston demo I recorded. I don't like this song as much as the other 2 I posted. I did try something different on the snare this time. Pulled the mic back to get more snares/shell sound.


I'm sad to be done. This was a fun project. I hope there will be more soon.

You mix really loud, don't you... :D

Sounds nice - I think the drums as a whole are just a whisker loud, though... Those guitars are getting swallowed up inside that mega-kit.

Nice though - Good imaging. Some high-end distortion on the cymbals (could be the encoding).

I put the L2 on the final mix and set the threshhold so it just starts reduction (about 1db) is all. I like it kinda loud but I will not squish the shit out of it.

I mixed the drums a little loud because I thought they sounded good and the guitar isn't really doing anything special.

So that's what imaging is.:D I thought I heard it on this mix. Problem is, I'm not sure what I did different from the other 2.:confused:

I'm pretty sure it's the encoding doing that. It happens to me every time. Any ideas why
