Hi all,

I just moved up to a larger mixer (a 16 channel spirit folio) and I need to stuff it full of cables. I'm going to need at least 16 high quality balanced 1/4" cables, and I'm not sure if the hosa cables I've been using are gonna cut it. I used to make cables at my old job, but they weren't very picky about quality. . . . they were from a really skinny and cheap belden stock.

I want to make my own cables from a professioanl-grade cable stock, and I'm assuming belden or mogami are going to be the brands I'll be looking at. I'm going to need a minimum of 70 feet of cable, and I'm wondering if anybody can recommend a specific belden or mogami cablestock (like a part number) for balanced 1/4" interconnects that would give me a good balance of fidelity and affordablity with resulsts that would make it worth my while to not just go with some more hosa balanced interconnects. Price is a big consideration, as is the fact that it's going out from some samplers and rackmount gear, through the spirit folio, and into my echo mia soundcard.

any recommendations would be much appreciated!

thanks to whoever can help,

patrick k.
