would a Behringer UB802 Eurorack 8 Input Mixer work for recording via mic into my computer any info would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Assuming you have a computer with a soundcard or on-board audio that has a line input, and a recording application, yes, that mixer will enable you to hook up a couple of mics and come into the L and R side of the computer's Line In.

With a standard computer soundcard and this mixer, the most you can get is two tracks of simultaneous audio recording, of course... so if this is adequate for your purposes, you're OK.

thank you

yeah that is all i really need for now is two tracks at the same time (lead and rythym) over my drum tracks, thank you for taking time to answer my question

I recently bought one.

Extremely quiet electronics given the price.

i've owned one for about 8 months.... yeap you can do it...i was running it to my motherboard's soundcard through the mic in (line in didnt work) and i was satisfied until i wanted to have a better overall sound....shelled out the money for the audiophile 24/96 sound card and i love it...still use the mixer...probably will keep it even after i buy a larger mixer

I've been using a Behringer Eurorack (UB1202 I think) for about a month, and I'm very happy so far. I'm only using two microphones (for now) but I could go up to six I think. I come out of the main outs and into the computer's line in. This seems to work well.

Berihger (Should have stayed with Makie)

Went from a makie MS1202 to an MX1804..lots of feature and routing options and FX but the Mic preamps are noisy. I end up bypassing the mixer completely when recording. I switch to the MS1202 when I need vocal tracks.

For the really small mixers it's certainly better IMO than the Phonic or Alesis offerings. Worth getting and (if it lasts that long - build quality is an issue) using as a headphone amp or summat if you ever upgrade. Your recording signal chain is only as good as the weakest bit and if you buy one of these your weak points are gonna be your soundcard and possibly your mics (i.e. there's no point really buying a Mackie at this stage) so go ahead and get started!

If you were after something slightly bigger I'd reccomend the Yamaha MG 10/2 which in the UK is only £75. Very very good mixer. But they don't do a 'mini' one like the Behri.
