Seriously looking at these monitors. Anyone have any dealings with them?
The specs are amazing, a definite step up from my KRK 8s, but we know what specs sound like. :)
But if I want to step up, should I save up for second line, like the 824 mkII's or the VXT 8's from KRK. These are both far better than either, but also a lot more $$$.

I have a pair of B3031a's, they have served me well for the past few years. Haven't felt the urge to upgrade them even once.

Yeah, specs aren't everything (especially when those specs are from Behringer).

That said -- I've messed with some of their speakers. The passive 2031's were actually surprisingly decent when paired with a nice amplifier. Far better than the actives IMO... Hook 'em up with an Emotiva or high-current Bryston or Rotel and you've got something pretty decent there.

(EDIT) Ha! Have they actually discontinued the best speaker they ever made? Figures...

I think they're what I had for many years. I'm not sure they're an upgrade... if you're going to get new monitors, keep saving and get something that's a bit further from where you are. Cheaper in the long run.

For many years I used the 2031 Truths. They were the first model (i think) and didn't have A for active even though they were. They did a damn fine job for me

Getting new. Will be M-Audio M3-8. A small step up from my Rokit 8's, but a step indeed. I really liked the behri's when I listened to them at GC, but the MA's just sparked my ear (and apps) right.
