I can get both at about the same price, which one would you recommend? The Behringer obviously has more features but I've been hearing some great things about the Audio Buddy.
Help me out here.

thanks

either would be fine... I have heard good sound from these 2 unit....

Of course with behringer, you have to be careful with QC issues....

I've seen Dot recommend the Mic2200 and I honestly thought it was pretty usable myself. The audiobuddy sounds okay too, but it doesn't supply a full 48 volts phantom power...okay for electrets but not okay for others.

also check out the cheap yamaha mg mixers that a lot on this bbs seem to like. i recently tried an alto. i was surprised at the facilities for little money.
no high end console but plenty of clean gain and a sound i found pleasing.
but you might find different. all personal taste.
other cheap options are berry mic100 preamp. at 40 bucks.
but i dont know how it sounds.
you might also consider a wildcard. sometimes you can find a soundcraft folio notepad mixer cheap used. ive been told by more than one person that the mic pre's in these are not too bad. actually pretty decent.
just some ideas.

Those Yamaha mixers seem to be a good value. My band uses one live, but I have not recorded with it. It sounds pretty decent.
