Is the Behringer MIC-200 Tube PreAmp any good?
I have a fostex dmt 8vl it does not have phatom power that I need.
So I was looking in to a phatom power supply.
I was told I needed a good preamp also for this unit.
I had a used peavey I was testing.
had a lot of people tell me peavey was not any good.
I also not really happy with it. so I took it back.
Now I'm looking at the Behringer MIC-200 Tube PreAmp.
I would like some feedback on it before I spend the money.
I will be recording voice both male and female with it, and a guitar from time to time.
thank you all.

If you peruse a copy of Tape OP, which is free for the asking, you can read up on many mic pres.

I have a Grace 101 and it is a good value as the purchase price has gone down a good deal from the MSRP.

I like to run the Grace into my RNC and then into the recorder. I think you will like the combo. Of course, in that price range, there are several other mic pres -- a matter of what your ears like to hear.

As for the BER.... stuff -- I honestly don't know but I don't read much positive feedback regarding their gear.

Compared to the peavy the behringer is just a paperweight...one of the peavy tube pres are one of the more sought after pieces on this board, but peavys reputation does proceed them.
