well as long as you can deal with bad sound and the possibility of it crapping out prematurely it isn't terrible. I have their 8 channel headphone amp, and well, I never use it, the bands that track at my studio do but I never use headphones myself.

Welcome...seems like you're a noob here.

If you'll use the search function you'll find that the Berhinger HA series headphone amps are fairly well liked. This means a little something in that there's a lot of Behringer haters around here. I have the HA4800 which is like the big brother to the 4700...I like it. It's cost effective and gets the job done. It's not a hi-fidelity item but work nicely for studio monitoring while tracking...it's plenty loud but can be a little noisey as you add more headphones. Again, that the 4800 I'm referring to. I don't care for it for detailed listening.

Give the search function a try. Do us a favor and post a review of the product if you take the plunge.

thanks

thanks guys.. this board is really helpful.

my stdio is very small and rinky dink... its the cheapest headphone amp i found and its aplication would work fine for what i need.. i have a little stdio in the back room of my dads office,... nothing special (my control room is 71" x 84" and my live rooms 16' x 20 ' )

Not a Behringer hater

I have a Behringer MX9000 - and a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro.

The Behringer is actually a great board - I have not used many other Behringer products - but I see the value.

I have a Rolls headphone (6 channel) amp that is quite good as well

A whole lot of people put down things just because they think it helps them fit in.

I don't care much about fittin' in. I like making music and recording it and making it sound as good as I can. If Behringer helps - that's cool

I have the Samson S-Amp that Sonic Albert posted a link to. I have used it alot for the past 6 months and it works great. I use it to control my M-Audio BX5 powered monitors, as well as headphones.

I have the HA4700, never tried the one you're talking about (is it new?) so all this is assuming the guts are essentially the same...
The behri's are great for tracking purposes, getting LOUD sound to multiple pairs of headphones so musicians can hear themselves and playback. Sound quality is a joke though, but that's not what they're really intended for.
