Hello, Im new here, but I have been reading the threads for about three months. I have mostly Behringer gear for non-profesional use. I use it all for Karaoke parties at my house. I know from reading most of the threads here people seem to hate behringer, but my wifes version of my budget does not add the same as mine. equipment (mx802A mixer, ultragain pro mic2200, virtualizer pro 1024P, autocom pro mdx1400, ultrafex pro ex3200) I do have pro equipment for my bass guitars, but I dont think thier relevant here. My question is how to run these correctly together. I have four small pa speakers I run to sound to conected rooms when I have my parties. I run the mics into the ultragain-->into the feedback destroyer-->into the mic ins on the mixer-->out of the mixer mains into the autocom compressor-->into the ultrafex then into the amp. I also run out of the mixers control room out into another amp for small floor monitors. Is this the best way or am I doing it wrong..It sounds good and I havent had any complaints just want to do it right or better.. Any input is welcome. please just focus on the usage and not the equipment brand. Please be honest you wont hurt my feelings. Iam truely a newbee at this. I did buy the yamaha sound handbook as well as others, but non seem to adress my issue...So here I am...Thank you!

I would put the feedback just before the amp and after the ultraflex. But are fine the way your doing it with that setup.

Ha ha! :D

Sounds like you are doing it just fine.
A couple of changes could help. Give 'em a shot, see if you like it.
First of all, were you having problems with feedback, or just get the feedback killer to be safe? If you don't need it, take it out. It will improve your sound.
Though at Karaoke parties, it may be a big help. :)
The other thing concerns the effects. The kind of standard way to run effects is out from an aux send into your effects. This gives you control of the level of effects for each channel using that channel's aux send. Set the output of the effects processor to "wet" and run it back into an empty channel or aux return. Then you can control the overall level of fx in the mix from the mixer as well.

The same goes for your monitor mix. If you run it from an aux send to your monitor, you will have individual control of the vocal levels and music levels in the monitor. Your monitor sound will definitely improve. As the monitor mix gets better, you may eliminate some of your feedback problems

There is nothing wrong with your set-up, but this way is considered to be the standard. It is a little more flexible.
Also, a mixer or compressor is a bit more suited to drive a power amp than an fx processor. In any case, I would put the compressor last. right before the amp.
The thing about having more control is you will be tempted to tweak a lot more. (At least I get tempted). I'm betting you just kind of set it and forget it. You can still do that, but the initial set-up will be a bit more complex.
Have fun!

p.s. I am thinking of adding a Karaoke machine to my rental fleet. Can you point me to some resources for machines and tracks? Thanks!

Thanks for the help

Thanks to both of you..I guess all the reading did help..I should have clarified in the begining, but I do have my effects running through the effects loops..I never thought of running monitors out of the aux sends though..they are there for the vocalist...should they hear themselves more than the music or vice versa?...right now they hear the same as the house mix...just loud enough to hear it...As for the feedback destoryer, I just bought it used and havent tried it yet...I dont realy have a feedback prob,,only when someone decides to point the mic into the monitors not paying attention so I figured this may help from having to "ride the levels" on the mics.

As for Boingoman..I would try to find a local karaoke shop to help..i use a jvc tripple tray and it works very well for me...if your renting it out though and are not going to be there,,I would get something simpler and rack mountable. The best karaoke cd's I have found sound quality wise are Sound Choice and Top Hits and Pop Hits monthy. The seem to have the most accurate reproductions and best backing vocals...there are others, but I try and stick with them unless they dont have a song I want. You should also invest in a catalog or song selection book software..I use Music book delux..about $100.00...worth every penny..prob others out there too, but this one does everything...You can update the songs inside the program so when you hear a song on the radio you want--you can search your own program to see which manufact offers it. hope this helps and thanks again!

Buy using the monitors on the Aux send you can add more music or vocals as the performer likes. Its like you have two mixes one for the house and one for the vocalist.

CAN I COME TO THE NEXT PARTY :)
