Just out of interest has anybody here used the BEHRINGER C2 matched pair of condensor's? If so whats your opinion on them, im not looking to buy them, though they wouldnt break the bank if i did. Im just Curious.

They are noisy and bright, perfect for some live duties, don't know as I would use them for studio work ( the B5's are better), on loud sources probably OK. For the price good value for money.
Like the Berry C1's they are a good introduction to condensor mics, just do not expect Neumann quality.

i got a pair a couple of weeks ago, have only used them twice. Once was for a live full band recording (2 elec guitars, vocal , drums , no bass  ) and they are pretty bright but they gave fairly decent recordings. The accoustic guitar sounded okay , but probably not if its just a one acc guitar and vocal style track, i prefer my studioprojects b1

yeah thats pretty much what i figured from the spec's..Seem like they may be pretty "hyped" and the bass response looks like fuck all. I wasnt considering buying these as i have alot of decent microphones that would blow these out of the water, as i say i was interested in anybody that has tried them just to satisfy my curiousity. For the price of them it still seems like a pretty good deal for "entry level" condensors, and also for live work. I dont really like using mics that are expensive and easily wrecked, not to mention hard, or in some case's nearly impossible to replace. I have been hearing good things about studio projects as well. They seem to be a much loved condensor in the home recording market. Hats off to behringer though for attempting their coup, im not a huge fan of them but round my way (belfast , northern ireland) they pretty much have the market sown up. It is pretty hard to get decent mics here, luckily i have a mate thats been collecting studio mics for years and i can use them at any time.

There have been a few recent threads on this... Search 'em up.

I was thinking about getting these but for $50aus more I got 2xjm27. I havn't got them yet but can't wait to try them our.

Northsiderap notes there have been recent threads on this, and I expect I would have already commented in one of them.

However, I might as well do so again. An acquaintance of mine got a pair, returing them because he was dissatisfied.

I was not convinced of the reasons for his dissatisfaction, so I bought a pair as a challenge (um, mainly to prove him wrong). Because they were so cheap I had little to lose: a pair of mikes for the price of two tanks of petrol!

I tried out a few things with them. I didn't find them noisy, but they did seem to be less sensitive than, say, the NT5s I have. If I turned them up to compensate, then the noise I got was not from them, but more from elsewhere in my system.

I have recorded things using the c2 and something else, then asked for preferences. Some say one, some say the other.

I have recorded vocals using it (something I would not normally do with this style of mike), and they came out ok.

For the price, they are hard to beat.
