What's the verdict on these monitors, i've heard they are one of the behringer products that are ok? opinions from those you have them or have compared them would be appreciated.
thanks

please if you need to driver more than 3 hours to a place that stock most most popular monitors and take the one "that your ears like"

Funny thing about these monitors... nearly every pro review, even "monitor shoot-outs", I've read has given them high marks, sometimes exceptional, for price/preformance. Yet the user reviews I read are much more mixed, overall, with numerous complaints about interference from background noise (at least with the older models).

Not sure what it all means, but it's interesting.

Do you have accesss to these monitors via a retailer? If so let your ears decide after comparing them to other monitors.
If not utilize the "SEARCH' function located on this BBS to check out opinions stated by others on these "monitors"( :p )

One thing that it means: That people are afraid to speak well of Behringer stuff for fear of ridicule. There is a huge anti-Behringer bias here and in other places...justified or not...who knows? I've got a few Behringer things that worked fine and still work fine. I'm only still using the headphone amp though. It does a great job for my purposes.

What I've been finding out as my ears get better trained is that all monitors in that $300-400 range start sounding crappy the better your hearing gets. Those $300-400 monitors are like training wheels, you'll eventually grow out of them.

Behringer is not competing with Adam. What's funny is I've had people tell me Behringer are competing with the Mackie monitors like the Hr824. I've heard them side by side and the Mackies were much nicer. I've never heard Adam monitors but I'd sure like to. I wouldn't even know where to go to lsiten to high end monitors. My local GC must think Mackie is high end. :D

The Mackies are great monitors.
