Just got a gift of a brand new B 2 pro mic from a friend. Just wandring what people with experience with d mic think of the mic. I inted to record Vocals only with this mic

I really like mine for the money its a great mic. Of course it wont suit all voices and can stand some eq'ing too as it has a bump in the high freqauncies.
I mostly sing off axis to it too.
Have fun and i hope you enjoy it.
I guess its not all that if you dont being as it was a freebie.;)

Free Mic = Good Mic! I have not used that particular mic but the 2 pair of C-2 mics I have a real work horses and have served quite well for all sorts of uses studio and live.

Behringer gets a lot of bashing but they do make decent gear that is used by a lot of musicians (even if they don't admit it).

I really like my C-2's also.
Good all rounders especially at the price point.

I'm with Brad

I have a pair of them, and I love them. Perticularly as drum overheads, and for female vocals, but they're more than usable in plenty of applications.

As far as freebies go, you haven't done too bad at all :p

Great mic. I've had one for years, and it works well for many types of vocals, but like said above, I think it works best off-axis. It has surprisingly low self noise. The figure 8 pattern works well for a mid/ side setup as well. Depending on the vocalist, I switch between the B-2, a modded Oktava 219, or an SM7. Typically, one of those three work, and it's usually the B-2.
