i think the studio projects b1 is a little less hyped though, and it costs the same. the behringer has that 12k spike that's nice on acc. guitar, but isn't quite as warm on vocals.

which to my (crappy) ears is indistinguishable from the B1 on voice. Its frequency curve looks the same too with that 12k-13k boost. It also has a bass roll-off switch not mentioned in the specs.
With the Behringer you also get a 10db pad, a shock mount and a nice aluminum case which probably about makes up for the price difference.
good info. some of us (me) just can't justify spending 300.00 or more for a mic. I'm thinking 100.00 or so budget would be all I need for a condenser to go along with my 57s.
