Ill bet its just too early to reply to this because not all of us have heard both mics, My general opinion on the berringer is that if you liked the Rode mics you may like the Berringer.

Kind of only better if are singing raspy vocals. and even that is dependant on taste.

hmmm.

well right now i'm using an SM58.
styles i use it for is:
normal singing vocals
screaming
yelling
"punk vocals"

what would a be a noticable change from the 58, for the better? (also for cheap...ha).?

If that's the kind of vocals you're doing, I'd say the 58 should be just fine. I don't think a condenser would be a very worthwhile investment in your case. I think of condensers as sweeter, more pristine-sounding . . . and since I don't see you doing any Celine Dion covers in the near future, you're probably fine with what you have.

has anyone had these two mics up agianst each other?

I'd also really like to now
cause I haven't really seen any studio projects stuff around here
but have seen plenty of behringer gear

if the sp b1 is better with saving 20 bucks then i might look for it on the net to get one
but if there isn't really a difference or if the beh b1 is better then that might be what i get

I actually plan on gettin an AT 3035 but a b1 as a second choice might be good

I have a rode nt1 but for some reason it doesn't sound good with certain people I 've recorded
