hey how big of an area does the behringer b-2 condenser mic pic up noise could i mic a marshall mg30dfx and a drum set in the same room (its a small bed room) and not get any bleed through if i were to mic them seperatly, i would have a pic i drew of our set up but i dont know how to get it on its on paint its not a digital camera pic and then the singers amps to we dont want that to bleed though either

if it's not a digital camera

you won't get bleed

unless the singers are otr

Most large diaphragm condenser mics, including the Behringer B2, "hear" sound coming from all around them, not just what the mic is "aimed" at. So, you would need at least one mic for your amp, one mic for your drums, and one mic for your vocalist, PLUS you would need some type of soundproof "wall" (a real wall, or many thick blankets, or some similar barrier) separating your amp, drums and vocalist, to eliminate "bleed".

Another type of barrier you could try is time... by this I mean you could record your drums alone first, then guitar alone, then vocals alone, and you'll have absolutely no bleed.

Good luck.

Any microphone worth singing into is also going to pick up anything else in the room. I second Kid's time suggestion above.

You will get more replies if your posts are written in legible English. I reccomend using periods at the ends of sentences, for starters.

...part of the "anti-fullstop" clan...........?

i say use one mic in the room, hang it high, but not too high. pump the gain and call it a room mic and record away.

The B2 is a multipattern mic so the question about bleed has everything to do about what pattern you use. Your least bleed would come from using the cardiod pattern and point it directly away from the one source and directly toward the other.

But the fact is I am guessing that in the kind of room you describe bleed is pretty much inevitable if you are tracking at the same time.

I own a Behringer B-2.

For the price - It's a FANTASTIC microphone (never thought I'd say that about Behringer :p)

It has 3 settings on the mic. The Cardiod setting will help eliminate some of the bleed but you'll still get an ass-load of it.

Ooh yay a good ol' fashioned flame thread, like the old days.

Can I join in?

I think Behringer/Studio Projects/Mackie/Samson make the best/worst/most indifferent value products and anyone who buys/uses them is a genius/idiot/professional/arsehole.

Oh yeah, and the obligiatory (sic) spelling mistake. :D

You are clearly in the wrong. I dispute all of your statements, and hurl invective at you, your skills, experiences, and family, as mine are all far superior. Should you require I cite examples proving my opinions on the matter, I will reaffirm my contempt by refusing to acknowledge your request.
