Hello, I'm brand new to the group, and a beginner to home recording, in every sense of the word.

I purhcased the Behringer Autocom Pro MDX1400 because it was recommended, and I've skimmed through the manual, but honestly have no idea what to set each of these knobs and dials to, and which buttons should be pressed in or out. Can anyone please tell me a basic rundown of where each dial should be turned to, and which buttons should be pressed in or out? I'm just trying to get a nice vocal recording right now. Thanks!

1st, let us know in what capacity will you be using it for.
Kit gating? Single track processing? Mixdown processing? Instrument levelling?

Thanks, both of you -

I'll checkout www.studiocovers.com.

Right now I'm just trying to record a single track vocal, so I guess that would be single track processing? I'll also be using it to record acoustic guitar, so would that be instrument levelling?

Thanks again!

My first post is a... bump?

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I just have a question about my very first piece of rack gear, the Behringer MDX1400 Compressor/Limiter/Gate. I am having trouble trying to get the knob settings right and I was wondering if anyone had any setup configurations that worked for them. Right now I have some clipping, maybe because I am running a blue tube before it. Also, if anyone can give me advice on the order of rack effects (i.e. compressor last? Reverb first? etc), please let me know. I know I am asking a lot but I figured I could get this thread going again. Thanks!

Shaun
