behringer 1204fx setup

hi,
I'm new to the mixer wiring, I just got behringer 1204fx as a gift from friend,
what I have is sony home amplifier and a regular home speakers.
my question is can I hook up this mixer to this amplifier and speakers that I have?
because I have been trying 2 hrs connect cd player to input of mixer cd in and out put
from mixer to my sony amplifer no sound at all.

Yes you can.
Run the CD into "CD Line In" on the Behringer and use any of the "Lines Out" to your Sony amp.
I have the same mixer and always end up pushing random buttons until I get a signal out.

Im going nuts trying to figure out the best way to hook things up as well.

Do I use control room out or Main out to which jack on the FT pro.....1 and 2 on front or can I use the back ones ???
