Hello Anyone,

I may have a really easy question. So, bear with me...I just got a Behringer 1202 FX mixer and want to hook it up to my guitar and guitar amp. Right now, I've got my 1/4 jack going from the mixer's mic-line-IN... and from there I don't really know where to put the other end..

should I put it into the line IN on the front of my amp? or somewhere in the back and then where do I put the chord going into my guitar? I FX loop send and return on the back of my amp and inserted it there...the mixer was not working...

please need some expertise...asap THANKS

If you are wanting to run mics thru your amp, go from the mixer's main out to the amp's power amp in (or at least try this) Input mics using the mixer's XLR inputs. It should allow you to run your guitar into the amps instrument in.

If you want to hook up multiple guitars to the amp, plug guitars into mixer's line-in, the mixer into the amp's instrument in.

If you want to run from the amp TO the mixer, go from the amp's pre-amp out to one of the mixer's line-in's.

That should get you started.

Thanks for the suggestions but still no luck. (?)

I'm trying to hook my guitar up to my mixer to my amp.

I have one 1/4 jack going to mic IN on the mixer then to my guitar. And I have another cord going from the main out from the mixer into my instrument IN on the amp...However, there is no signal on my mixer no sound---after tweeking the knobs on both audio strips (main and mic in)

Am I setting this up right? Please help....THANKS!!!!!

Guitar->Line/mic In->Main Output->Amp Input?

Ensure the channel you've plugged into is turned on. Watch your meter, engage PFL (pre fader listen), and turn up the trim on the channel you're using until you get the green lights all on. Make sure the channel is routed to the output, turn off PFL. Adjust the outout volume, probably nowhere near 0dB, because a line signal is hotter than instrument level. adjust amp input to taste. The impedance won't match up right, so the sound is going to suffer.

Why are you doing this? There's probably a better solution.
