Through research of great budget mics I've come to these two mics. I'd like to hear folks views on these two mics. I'll be using them for acoustic, vocals, and overheads for drums. I heard an account of the B-2 being similar to a U87 on DPSworld forum. So whats the consensus on these two mics for my purposes?

The Beh B2 is a little more expensive than the SP B1. Even though the B1 is a great mic, if you decide you can dish out $150 than take a look at the SP C1 which is nicer than the Beh B2 as far as "brighter" LCD's at an affordable price go IMO.

ive owned all 3. the c-1 is one trick. the b-1 is kinda neutral but doesnt work on vocals all the time. the behringer b-2 sounds pretty darn gosh fine. for vocals and drun work its no comparison. the behringer is that good.

I've owned the Behringer B-2 Pro for one year and it has done a great job with vocal recording. I've heard and read good things about Studio Project mics, but I can only speak to my experience with the B-2 Pro. It's solid and performs well.
