Anyone read this book (written by Howard Massey)? I just finished it and thought it was great! It has many interviews of famous producers and engineers on such topics as equipment, project studios, mics, compression, etc... One of the neatest books I've read. One of my favorite tricks was by John Leckie, who often uses 58s on guitar cabs. I've been doing this for a while too and personally like the sound. Check it out!

Yeah, I've had it for years. It's a decent read for sure. I liked the Beatles sessions better though.

yep, excellent book. there's a lot of good stuff out there!

cheers,

I read it a few months ago. Really good read. I got a lot of how to deal with people and situations in the studio from it, not a lot of technical advice I didn't already know.....I got all that from this forum.

I'd recomend it
