I'm very tempted to start playing piano, and am looking for a simple MIDI keyboard. I only want it to have 88 key's and perhaps be fully weighted key's. I have looked at the Fatar, and I like it - but any other suggestion's?

Thanks - I can get a discount on M-Audio gear, so I may look at that.

My whole plan is to get a recording studio (my father works for many professional audio companies, SHURE, JBL, (all the Harman), Crown, BSS, etc and he's a music buff so we want to do a studio.

At the same time I want to learn piano.

Fiber,

First things first. How much money do you intend to spend? You gotta provide pertinent info. when you ask such broad questions. Money will dictate everything.

You do understand that the Keystation 88 Pro is strictly a controller and doesn't produce any sounds, right?

You will need some source for your piano sounds.

Yes, I am aware that it is a controller and does not produce any sounds.

The source of sounds will probably be GarageBand. Any suggestion's though for software to provide sounds?
