Before you go to sweetwater...

I just discovered something very interesting. Synthplanet.com, a division of Pips music which is based in kruishoutem, belgium sells equipment from european companies for hundreds less than any retailers here. The TLM103 is $568, in the US its around $900. The C3000 is $218, here its around $350. This is only the case for european products though bec the american stuff is hundreds $$ more expensive than it is here. The Aardvark direct pro is $739, here its under $500. They also have huge gaps onthe US side of things, a search for mackie and some other US companies turned up nothing...... The only catch that I can see is their 7 day return policy. Feel free to post any other negatives about synthplanet.com as I may buy that TLM-103 from them soon and hope these prices arent too good to be true.
 
You have to pay import tax and shipping. And if you dont know the import laws, you have to hire someone to import it for you. UPS provides this service, but you have to pay. You'll end up saving a few bucks.
 
oh yeah, if you look around you can find the TLM 103 for cheaper than 900.
 
I dont know about any import laws. I bought a couple of suits from paris last year and didnt pay a cent in french or import tax. I believe all EU countries have the same basic policies as far as that goes. My bro-in-law is french and this is what he said. He's bought clothing from germany, holland, england and other countries in the EU.

I havent come across any sites selling the tlm103 for less than $850 and certainly not $568.

New Tlm-103's for $715! I was going to buy an M-147 from them but found a great deal on eBay (which has LOTS of 103's).

But if you can really get a 103 for $568 + a few fees, that's a killer deal.

I find that sweetwaters staff is obnoxious. also, I must say by avoiding sweetwater I have saved hundreds of dollars in the past year.
