Beezel's brutha' FUNK thang!!!

Well I downloaded ya and thought it was fairly well done. Maybe I would have mixed the voice a tad hotter especially at the beginning. I liked the congas-what congas are they,what mics were used and how was it recorded? I also liked the guitar solo and coulda used more. Your voice reminds me of a friend of mines but you sing better than he does. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

I have no idea what brand of congas were used,but as I recall(that portion of the rhythm track was recorded well over a year ago)they were miked with an SM58 and an RE20.
By the way,the vocal is my brother,not me.
I'm definately open to mixing the vocal hotter if thats what's required.As for more lead guitar,the whole fade out seems to beg for it,but my brother moved a couple hundred miles away,so we don't get much chance to record anymore.Maybe the next time he's down,we'll throw some on.

What a great tune. I wish the horns were a bit hotter and the cymbals are just a little too hot. Minor problems though. Very nice.
 
Really nice tune. I also checked out Jezebel which also rocks.

On both of them the high mids sound a little too in your face- which was accentuated by that "S" in "Summer". And the cymbals in a lot of places.

Aside from that I think you have the basic mix nailed.
