Here are some little jam tunes I did with T3. The first tune called Tracktion 3 is kind of cool. The others are drum loops I jammed to. One has a hick beat and the other is a fast beat. Never messed with drum loops before so it was kind of cool to mess with then and not have to lay down actual drum tracks, (Im not the greatest on drums). The link is to my soundclick page. I hate 128bit mp3's but thats what they require. Anyway at least give the first one a listen, and let me know what you think. For some reason the tunes sound like they recorded in a tin can on my personal pc. On my studio pc they sounded great. Probably lost something in the 128bit conversion. Let me know if they sound tin canny to you.

on my speakers it has a bit of a cloud in some parts in the 200-400hz range. Also I'd try to boost some definition into the bass. It's there just not distinct enough for me.

And yes, 128bit mp3's ... meh...what do you expect? highly compressed low quality audio isn't going to sound great compared to full quality wav's...

The hi- hats sound panned really hard to the right and kinda gets my head all off balance. I'd suggest either bringing it down in volume or panning it a lil more center instead of so hard.

The drums were a loop that came with my new software and is a single track. Once I figure out the final ideas on the tunes I will have my son lay down actual drums, and tweak it. I used Ozone3 on the final mix. Ive noticed the last 4 tunes Ive done (which I used ozone) have a tinny sound on other systems. But they sound great in my studio. I will do them again with Mackie Final Mix plug in and see if that cures it. When converting to mp3 maybe Ozone3 doesnt do so well. Or maybe I'll try converting in real time and see if that cures it. Thanks for the input.

Well I don't think the tinny sound is coming from the other systems per say. You're converting it down to 128bitrate which is killing the quality by more than half. It destroys your overall sound actually. Do you have a place where you can upload full cd quality 320bitrate?

Yea I have my own website. Alot of people dont like downloading complete songs so I did the soundclick thing. I re-did the final mix and uploaded the new mix and it sounds better on my personal pc. I then played the mix on my Sansui 9090DB Receiver with Polk Monitor 10's and it sounded pretty damn good. And that was the 128bit mix. Gonna mix down a 320 mix and play it through my Sansui. Man you cant beat a 30 year old stereo with the loud speakers that changed the world (Polk 10's rule) I was surprised how good the 128bit sounded on it.

Figured out why stuff on my personal pc sounded like crap. I recently installed Vista and had to get the latest drivers for my audigy 2 sound card and it decided to install an option to enhance my settings and included some setting that added a reverb to my playbacks. :) no wonder things sounded like a tin can. Its all good now.
