okay guys, its been a while since i've been here. last time i asked a queston about electronics, it was about my strat and hooking up pickups n stuff.....now its my schecter model-t and im hooking up EMG Actives..okay so i went to emg's website and got their wiring diagram...i wire everything up EXACTLY how it is.....then i get to the end finally and im going to take the wire going from the 2nd vol pot and the one from the input jack, and what you do is ground them to the tone pot, as shwon in my Picture and its circled red..when i do this, therse NO NOISE! everythings canceled out! if i unhook those and dont ground them, if i touch the 2 pickups, i get a buzz as if theyre not grounded, BUT i dont hear the actual "tap" noise if i tap them with something metallic...i also took a picture of my setup, hopefully you guys can really help me and spot this because ive completley rewired this set about 3 times now and it's really getting me angry, and i DONT want to bring it somewhere because im short on cash as it is. thank you very much!!
(i will edit and post pictures of my actual setup but its hjard to really tell from the pics)

ok edit, included are 2 pics of my Controls..i doubt youll be able to see anything, but anything that helps...:-\

My friend had a similar problem with an active EMG. I can't remember what exactly the problem was but i no that the tone pot didnt seem to work so he has to leave it in one position cos if he moves it noise will take over so try moving the ton until you get a sound with strings but no noise.

This sounds like a pot was overheated while soldering.

guys im thinking that maybe yeah i fried the pots? idk this sucks, now i probably have to spend more on pots or just use my old pots...but the old ones were kinda scratchy...:( any other ideas? i dont get sound AT ALL no matter what position any of the pots are in..
