Hey every one, im new to site.
any way im looking for help. wat programs can i get for pc to make fat beats(hip-hop, rap, R&B).
cheap or expensive.
and can u record yourself using comps?

Do you mean "phat" beats? :D

I would suggest getting Reason...but it has a steep learning curve. But once you discover its full potential, you won't look back. On the low end, you could try out Fruity Loops.

If your looking for cheap or legaly free(Freeware) software check out KVR or Computer music magazine is ok for free stuff or dontcrack.com ......

But I will say Reason 3.0 is a great tool to master.
Fruity loops is good for the cash.

I was able to get a decent Acid PRO demo off the net somewhere. It's pretty powerful, but any software required to make "phat beats" will take some time to work with and figure out.

Definitely, if you're serious about creating rhythm get some computer recording magazines, the ones with the cds preferably, sometimes they have loads of good quality samples, demo software and tutorials.

Also mentioned above, Fruity Loops has been around for a long time and comes with lot's of presets and cool stuff to fool with.

Good luck.

I just pickup FL Producer and its great! I highly recomend it for the grand total of $150 you get alot of stuff from Drum machine sounds to audio recording tracks and soft synths. :)
