I'm setting up a BCF2000 to work with Cubase SX3, and it's easy going so far, except for one issue.

When I try to set up a button on the BCF 2000 to control a track's "monitor" enable/disable button, it works fine. However, when I also set the same BCF2000 button to be controlled BY the same track's "monitor" enable/disable button, I get some bizarre behavior.

None of the other buttons (record enable, for example) exhibit this problem.

I could simply leave out the feature of having the BCF button controlled by the monitor button, but this is less than ideal.

I've tried tweaking everying I can think of to fix this problem, to no avail. This includes trying just about every combination of flags, switching the low value on the BCF button from "zero" to "off," and switching the low and high values.

If anyone has been able to get control of the monitor button in cubase by the BCF along with control of the same BCF button BY the monitor button in cubase working properly, could you please upload the XML file (this is easiest), or could you describe how you've set it up?

Thanks!

NVM, I stumbled across the correct configuration to make this work.

I have tried to do this too and I can't... If I understand right, Cubase didn't send "midi-out" for the "monitor on/off"... If you find something please tell me :)

Cubase transmits a message when you click the Monitor button for sure - I just checked that using some virtual midi cables and MIDI OS to follow midi messages.
1. Did you assign the midi port in the Midi Out dialog of the Generic Remote?
2. Did you enable both Flags R.T for that assignment. If not hold your mouse over the Flag column for that assignment and enable "Transmit".
3. Have a look at the BCF2000 button assignment mode. As far as I remember the were different modes like toggle etc.
