If it's used tastefully and not abused, there are worse things you can do to a mix.

Keep in mind that if a client will be sending out their recordings to be mastered somwhere, keep the BBE turned off. Ask the client first.

what do those things really do anyways?

is it just adding low end and high end EQ?

is it adding harmonics?

compression?

what the heck is inside that box!
i noticed they have ones specifically for guit and bass

i'm sure they are a waste of money, but people buy them!
 
jolly good :) yeah that helped.....I decided it wasnt worth the money and i bought some other recording equipment
