not sure where to post this:

I just saw the new movie. Any idea what they do to process his voice for that unusual quality? Thanks.

bale might just do the voice like that(I always feel like he's trying to sound like michael keaton with balls..)

but you really have to get in touch with the ADR guys to know for sure.. watch the credits, get a california phonebook (yellowpages.com will work) and call them fuckers up?!

he's definetly talking differently, you can hear the difference in the inflections...

but there are probably effects as well

he is doin the voice liekthat on purpose and its ment to sound strange so noone can figure out he is bruce wayne by his voice

Every actor who played Batman (Keaton, Kilmer specifically) except Cloonie changed their voice when they were in costume. Keaton claimed that just wearing the suit brought it out of him. He actually felt like Batman.

If you watch Batman begins, Bale was changing his voice from the first time he stuck the stapler in the back of Gary Oldman's neck. It's part of the character. I haven't seen the new movie yet, but I imagine there are some effects on there as well.
