Bass traps low mid absorbers

I'm having a little problem in my studio, which we use to practice as well. The low mid range turns the sound to freaking boomy and we get headache everytime we play in there. The question is, is there an easy way to reduce the boomyness without having to lower the global levels of the instruments?.

We are two guitars, a bass guitar, drums and of course voices. It is really hard to diferenciate the notes of the bass guitar; also when the drummer hits the bass drum, you get the hell in your head...

Please, some recomendations apreciated...thanks
