I have a Samson c03u & use the Sonar cakewalk program that it came with. My question is, the mic seems to pic up alot of the bass in my voice & I was wondering if there is any way I could just lower it so it doesnt pick up that bass?

You can back off the mic a bit. It susceptible to a proximity effect where the closer you are, the more bass you'll get.

Or, you can EQ it out with Sonar. Read the manual on how to use the EQ section in the channel strip.

Yes. 'Best' is a word that describes a comparison between three or more objects: "good, better, best".

However, as there are now three or more responses, "best" now is appropriate. Well done, Supercreep.

I'm guessing my suggestion of clutching your testicles while singing isn't going to trump Supercreep's.... I mean Chilli's answer... :laughings:

I always find a Hi-Pass Filter Helps during Tracking aswell for everything except bass guitar and kick drum :)

I think It will great when you choice good quality/.

Anyone to able to translate that. Preferable English, but any known human language will do.

EDIT: Judging by the links at the bottom of that jibberish post, this is a bot.

This one was out of Ho Chi Minh, don't get them too often. It's gone now.

You can also replace your nitrogen rich atmosphere with a helium rich one.

Otherwise proximity effect, changing your distance from the mic will change the ratio of bass if it's that. It could be other things as well, but that one is more common. Otherwise EQ (multiband) it out or filter it out (HPF). Audacity can do that edit and other software out there can too. Sometimes there's even a low cut / HFP / roll off / whatever the jargon of the week is this week via a switch on the mic, or even on your preamps or interface. Still generally better to do it in post IMO, more choice and the choice of UNDO.
