Better Than You
OK,
I've about made up my mind on buying this Bass Pod Pro for $329. Anyone have any suggestions or opinons on using this (or not using this) to record bass direct?

I have a bass pod(not the pro). The best results I've gotten have been using both outputs,( modeler and D.I.).Running both outputs to separate eqs.Eqing the modeled sound for low end and the DI for attack and clarity, recording both to separate tracks and blending. As soon as I get a bass mic I will try running the modeled output thru my Hartke(which sounds great with the A.I.R. on) blended with DI.

Damn, the way everyone raves about the Line6 amps, you would think you would just have to "plug it in and go".:D

for whas it worth..

I used those Line 6 preamps a few times, and, they arent bad. Sounds ok. BUT, be carefull with the unit's compressor, every BassPod/pro that came here, turned off the damn compressor cuz it wasnt getting the sound better, it was destroging it.

In fact, I even bought a BassPod last year, I used a few times, and then I sold it.
