Hey, I am still having bass issues in my control room and the room is resonating at a certain frequency. I have aurolex bass traps in both corners behind the monitors. The distance between the monitors and the back wall is only about 6 ft and is a diagonal resuting in a lack of symmetry.

Anyone with any ideas on absorbing some of this bass would be a great help thanks.

Dave.

For a specific frequency a tuned Hemholtz resonator will do the trick. Or a series of Membrane absorbers may work. Hard to be specific on a forum though. Do you know the frequency?

Try putting some rigid fiberglass straddling the corners in front of the Auralex absorbers. The extra thickness will help as well as the additional surface area.

Also, even though the rear wall is at an angle, I'm sure you're also getting some issues from it just due to sheer proximity. Try some 4-6" scrim faced absorbers.
