Bass Help Needed

oK ANYBODY CHIME IN
I am having the hardest times getting the bass sounds i want i am aiming for the hard hitting bass. not the hard miami bas that lingers on. any suggestions of gear or a place to get that sound. I have the mo phat. the second slot is still empty. dont want to fill it with the wrong chip know what i mean. I figure if anybody could help me it would be the pros at this site. Thanxs in advance fellaz
 
I know you don't wanna hear it but all you need to do is learn your MO PHATT a little deeper... My PLANET PHATT got some nice sub basses I tweak up so I know the MO gotta have some ill shit.

If you just got some loot burning your pockets then you might go ahead and put it in the MO though... I can tell you are learning that joint from your last cuts. I think you should gone ahead and dig deeper... Soup up the motor.... Some original sounds by SOUNDBOY...

Crack open the manual... Go into the edit screens... It's in there...

oN THE CONTRARY THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO HERE. I HOPED THIS JOINT WOULD GIVE IT TO ME CAUSE OTHER THAN THAT I WASTED $$. i WAS HOPING YOU WOULD SEE THIS CAUSE I KNEW YOU HAD THE PHATT. MY SECOND CHIPS GONNA BE THE POP JOINT RIGHT NOW HAVENT FULLY COMMITTED YET THO. THANKS I'MA GRAB THE BOOK CAUSE HERE IS A LIST OF TERMS AND STUF I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE. cut the frequency. open up a paragraphic eq, or a multiband compressor. the frequencies 80hz and below is what you may wanna play around with. to get it more punch cut or roll off 40hz and below stuff. don't over do your cuts, because you don't want to mess up the harmonics and/or timbres that the other frequincies add to your sound. anything below 20 is subsonic.

you might want to mute the other instruments and solo the drums just to get a feel of the frequency that produces that magic mike miami sound. don't do a permanent cut while solo, make sure you cut it while it's playing with the other instruments. i like to put a multiband compressor on it myself. hope this helps a little.

I know this is off subject but your Planet phatt. Lazi u have anything I can listen too that used the planet phatt sounds on. I want to buy Emu's soundfont version but I wanted to hear how it sounded. Thanks man
