Bass Head + Cab Setup Question.

Hello there!

I am looking for a cab to match my Acoustic B600h bass amp head (600watts)

I want a 410 Cab. I have been looking at the Used Ampeg SVT410HE 4X10. Guitar Center has several listed at 800 watts but when i go to the ampeg site they have them listed at RMS power handling at 500 watts.

Would this cab work with the acoustic B600h Head? any other cab recommendations that are under $400?

Why 4x10? I have a 1x massive in an Etone cab - it's great.

I'm no expert but as far as I can see that amp is 600 at 2ohms I think the minimum spec on the ampeg is 4 ohms so it's not going to deliver its full power unless you chain 2 cabs.
I've had the same cab for the last 10 years and it's taken all the abuse I've thrown at it, i think you'll be safe enough.

Having an amp with a higher wattage than the speaker cab rating is a good thing. It creates headroom as you don't need to turn the amp up as loud. This gives you a cleaner signal so you won't blow your speakers with distortion.
