Bass Guitar - Buffers VS True Bypass

I'm using a Fender Precision Bass.

I have a PolyTune 2 Tuning Pedal (True Bypass) and I'm hoping to add a Compression Pedal.
I will also be using a DI Box - to cable my bass to the Mixing Desk/Amp.

My question is this:
With regard to buffering - high impedance signal from my bass - would the Compression Pedal act as a buffer? If so, where would it go in the signal chain? Before my tuning pedal or after?

Don't think it would matter. When the tuner is on it kills the whole chain anyway, when the tuner is off its completely (truely) bypassed.

Do you mean would the compressor act as a buffer when its turned on? If so, then yes. This would be part of the compression effect I believe. It still doesn't matter where you place it in comparison to a true bypass tuner.
